Artist Meral Alma sets out from Jüchen, heads into the world
Alma, who completed her studies as a master student at Kunstakademie Düsseldorf this year, has been astonishingly established on the art market for five years now. Global collectors of her work wait up to two years to purchase one.
The exhibition featured 14 works as a cross-section of her oeuvre. They were selected by Consul General Sule Gürel and Vice Consul Tülin Ince. But the works they wanted for the October 29 exhibition had all long since been sold. As Alma explains, “Many of my paintings are owned by a Düsseldorf and Hong Kong-based art collector who graciously loaned them to us for the show.”
