I covered approximately 110 square meters with aro

I covered approximately 110 square meters with around 500 oversized 50x50 centimeter sticky notes, transforming the listed clock tower (built in 1904) into a work of art.
The art project is titled „Don’t Panic“ and is open to the public until July 26, 2025. All of the sketches printed on the sticky notes are based on my original artwork.

After Sir Tony Cragg (2017), Jacques Tilly (2019), Meral Alma (2021) and Prof. Andreas Gursky (2023) the Prize for Visual Arts in 2025 is awarded to Sönke Wortmann. Former well-known award winners include Karl Heinz Schmäke and Bert Gerresheim.
Sönke Wortmann is a legend of German film. Films such as „Der bewegte Mann“ and „Das Wunder vom Bern“ are among his best-known works. His filmography includes 29 works and now also 29 awards. #sönkewortmann

It is done! This painting took me far more than 1 year! I completed the fifth part of this work series!

Life as it is - as an eternal metamorphosis of being, in which no moment is like the other; and at the same time as an opportunity to decisively determine one’s own transformation and that of the world.

Everything is connected in a rush of shapes and colors that do not stop at the edge of the painting. They begin to spread beyond the picture and into the mind of the observer, to create a flood of colors and impressions. In this way their thoughts do not stay in one place, they are spread out into the world, in order to spark fireworks there as well.

In search of the inner child? The little king, wit

In search of the inner child? The little king, with the mischief on his neck, but already convinced that great things are in store for him. Perhaps he is also one of the inner children that we as adults sometimes believe already lost and that we can now once again find.

The little king was chiseled by me as a sculpture, built and created. Then cast as a bronze casting, based on a process more than 5000 years old and patinated by hand. It is the best, but also the most complex process for the production of sculptures.

I wonder what he would have to tell? I want to know, and that's why I'm going to bring him to life. More about this shortly...
