The circus of life \u2013 first discussed by Meral Alma in 2013 and continued as a large-scale series of artwork since 2018 \u2013 contains a whole world of imagery that seems to open in front of the astonished observer. Here, Meral Alma tells the (theatrical) play of life, so far split into three acts. As soon as the light is switched off, the canvas does not sink into blackness as expected, but lines and outlines emerge that Meral Alma has applied with a noctilucent pigment on the canvas. These are pigments that have been charged in daylight and now emit a greenish light in the dark.
